HSE Réserve Speciale VSOP - Rhum de la Martinique
The Habitation Saint-Etienne is located centrally on Martinique. For centuries sugar cane has been grown and refined on the island. In 1882 new owners of the estate transformed the sugar refinery into a distillery. The distillery has been through good and bad periods in the last century, but in 1994 new owners modernized and relaunched the distillery. Today the Habitation Saint Etienne is a modern distillery with a broad list of fine rhum products. The distillery is located in the fine historical buildings and included in the list of Historic Monuments on Martinique. The distillery is one of the last and most beautiful examples of Martinique's industrial architecture from the late 19th century.
