Nero Du Munti Corinto Nero - Salina Rosso I.G.P. - Az. Agr. Caravaglio
€20.00
Nero du Munti is a unique red wine from the passionate winemaker Nino Caravaglio on the volcanic Aeolian island Salina to the north of Sicily. It is made from the indigenous Corinto Nero grape. The up to 150 years old vines for this wine grow in the sandy volcanic soil at the bottom of the crater on the island at an altitude of 300 m. It is a medium body wine with flavors of cherry, blackberry and pomegranate in the bouquet. The taste is concentrated with plenty of plum and black pepper notes and elegant tannins, a well-balanced wine.

The Azienda Agricola Caravaglio was founded in 1989. Focusing on quality linked to the territory immediately meant an important choice: to produce according to the dictates of organic farming. Today the winery manages about 20 hectares vineyards divided into about 30 plots between the islands of Salina and Lipari. The main grape varieties are Malvasia, Corinto Nero and Nerello Mascalese.
