Barolo D.O.C.G. Ravera - Azienda Agricola Cogno
€84.00
Barolo Ravera from the well-known Barolo producer Azienda Agricola Cogno near Novello in Piemonte. A very fine single vineyard Barolo Cru. The old Nebbiolo vines grow in the Ravera vineyard where the soil consists of very compact calcareous clay, rich in minerals that give the wine a particular savoriness. It is a garnet-red coloured wine with a bouquet with scents of dog rose, mint and tobacco, scents which meld into spices, coffee, licorice, truffle, leather and minerals. The taste is full-bodied, firm, elegant and potent. It has great structure and balance, redolent of plum jam and withered brambles. A fine wine for special occations.
