Cavadiserpe Rosso - Terre Siciliane I.G.T. - Mandrarossa
The Mandrarossa wines are the top range of Cantine Settesoli. They come from the careful selection of both the vineyards and the vines, together with the harmonious combination of local culture, traditional farming and winemaking technology.
The vines for the Cavadiserpe red wine grow in Cantina Settesoli’s vineyards in the Contrada Cavadiserpe region west of Agrigento in Southwestern Sicily at an altitude between 150 and 250 m. The grapes were harvested by hand, sorted and destalked followed by 8-10 days fermentation on the skins. The wine was matured for a 6 months in oakbarriques and some months in the bottles.
Colour: Vibrant red wine just as intense as Sicily’s sunsets.
Bouquet: Aromas of plum jam, hints of herbs and spices such as thyme and licorice.
Taste: The palate is structured, intense and harmonious, a great blend of wood and wine tannins.
