Luce Brunello di Montalcino D.O.C.G. - Frescobaldi
The vines for the Luce Brunello di Montalcino grow in the Luce della Vite Estate vineyards, rich in minerals and organic matter, spread over the soft slopes to the southwest of the town of Montalcino at heights ranging from 200 to 430 m..
The grapes for the Brunello were handpicked and carefully sorted followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 12 days. After the fermentation the maceration on the skins lasted for 4 weeks which was followed by the malolactic fermentation. The wine was then transferred to oak barriques for further ageing for 24 months before bottling.
Colour: Intense ruby red.
Bouquet: Red fruit, tobacco and chocolate aromas.
Taste: The wine is well-rounded, full-body and generous. The tannins are silky and balanced by a vibrant acidity and a very long finish.
