Fatagione from pioneering Cottanera winery on Mount Etna a beautiful red wine made mainly from Nerello Mascalese grapes grown in volcanic soil at an altitude of 750 m. on the slopes of the volcano. It is a wine with distinct scents of wild berries, red cherry, strawberries, raspberries and notes of Mediterranean bush. The taste is lovely and fresh with well-balanced tannins and a balsamic ending.

Cottanera's production philosophy is to create a business model that brings together tradition and innovation in the vineyards and in the cellar. In the vineyards the grapes are grown without an irrigation system and almost all operations are done by hand. Native and international varieties are grown on 65 hectares of vineyards. The land is unique and gives rise to a great variety of vines.
