Terra Delle Sirene - Nero D'Avola - Sicilia I.G.T. - Azienda Agricola Zenner
This wine is produced in the territory of Noto-Pachino outside Syracusa in South-Eastern Sicily, recognized for the particular characteristics of the soil and of the microclimate, but unique above all for its geographical position characterized by a right distance from the sea and the particular intensity of the sun in the point of greatest brightness in Sicily. This particular biological balance becomes a condition for the formation of a grape that matures in a unique way, ideal for the production of a Nero d'Avola.
The Terre delle Sirene is a wine that should be tasted both by those who love the Nero d'Avola and by those who hate it. Those who love it can find excellence of this kind; whoever hates it can find enough material to repent. A lot has been written about this small masterpiece produced by Do Zenner. This Nero d'Avola does not pass through any type of wood (only steel and cement) and that it nevertheless has a firm, strong and deep structure, like wines that spend several months or years in small or large barrels. The Terre delle Sirene, however, retains an agility, a freshness and a fragrance that are rarely found in equally juicy wines, exuding fruit and softness together. All that is given to the vines, the wine returns multiplied, amplified in its essence of ripe red fruit and of violets. All with continuous references to the Mediterranean nature which is reflected in the nuances of myrtle, in the bottom of capers and in the iodine and brackish notes that grow in the mouth. The Terre delle Sirene is a wine that has the ability to gradually release its wealth of tastes.
