

The Nerello Mascalese and Petit Verdot vines for the Cratere red wine have an age of 10-30 years, and grow in the lava high up on the northerns slopes of Mount Etna near Randazzo.
The grapes were harvested by hand, sorted and destalked followed by fermentation on the skins in stainless steel tanks. The wine was matured for 6 months in French oak barriques. Following bottling the wine was refined for another 24 months in the bottles. About this wine:
