Cabernet Sauvignon - Terre Siciliane I.G.T. - Murgo
€22.20
Cabernet Sauvignon from Tenuta San Michele belonging to the Murgo family is made from grapes from old Cabernet Sauvignon vines grown in vineyards located high up on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna. This is a lovely red wine with hints of currant, yellow pepper and spices (black pepper) in the bouquet; It is savory, harmonious, just marked by fine oak, complex with good persistence and intensity.
023-080
The Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard was planted in 1985 and is the oldest existing vineyard on Etna planted with this grape variety. It is very interesting to note how the aromatic characteristics of this variety are greatly influenced by the soil and climatic conditions of the territory. The soils and microclimatic conditions confer a strong minerality and a remarkable elegance and aromatic complexity which makes it different compared to other regional, national and international expressions of the Cabernet Sauvignon. The sensorial characteristics make it very suitable for combinations with grilled meat and game.
Longevity 5-10 years.
