Amarone della Valpolicella Classico D.O.C.G. 2018 - Monte Sant’Urbano - Speri
The Monte Sant’Urbano vineyard is located in the municipality of Fumane, situated on a hill at an altitude of 280 - 350 meters. Harvest is by manual selection of the best bunches from late September to mid-October and drying of the grapes for 100 days in fruit-drying rooms with ideal conditions in terms of temperature, humidity and ventilation with a weight loss of 42% and a considerable increase in the sugar concentration.
Maceration in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks for a period of 35 days and completion of the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. Ageing in french oak casks for 24 months and in smaller oak barrels for 12 months. Refinement in the bottle.
Colour: Strong garnet red
Bouquet: Ethereal bouquet of dried fruit.
Taste: Full-bodied, warm, dry, all-encompassing to the palate.
