Riesling “Les Princes Abbés” - Alsace A.O.C. - Domaines Schlumberger
The domaine Schlumberger fully represents the most classic and typical example of what the wine producers of Alsace are - 100% transalpine. The Schlumberger family began to devote himself to viticulture right back in the 1500s. However, it was not until 1810 that a family vineyard was established,Current owners represent the 7th generation in charge of the family estate. The vineyards are unique in Alsace. The family is now the largest owner of vineyards in Alsace with their 130 hectares of which 70 hectares are classified as Grands Crus situated on the steep hillsides at an altitude ranging from 250 – 390 m with slopes of 50° in the Vosges. The vineyards benefits from the best possible conditions.

- On the fine lees in stainless steel tanks for a period of 4-6 months
- Bouquet
- Pleasant with good intensity. Dominated by citrus scents, lime zest, white flowers, fine vegetal, and blackcurrant leaf. It presents a ripe and bright register, in the vein of the vintage.
- Taste
- It is moderately full, full-bodied. The range of aromas is reminiscent of the nose, citrus fruits, lime zest, white flowers, fine vegetal, spices, ginger and an underlying hint of smoke. The racy range of aromas provides a nice sensation of freshness.
- Pairs with
- Fish and seafood, crab and shrimp terrines, seafood casseroles, goats cheeses. Serve at 10-12 °C.
