The Tirsat white wine from the Sicilian winery Gurra di Mare located near the sea in the historical wine town of Menfi in Southwestern Sicily is beautiful fresh young white wine. It is made from a blend of Chardonnay and Viognier grapes that have matured under Sicily’s strong sun. It has a complex and intense bouquet characterized by apricot aroma, yellow peaches, white flowers, spices and honey. The taste is very harmonious with a sweet exotic intensity combined with a pleasant freshness.

The Gurra di Mare winery is located in the municipality of Menfi, near the ancient port of Selinunte in Southwestern Sicily, in one of Sicily’s most historic areas and immersed in landscapes of rare beauty.
The Chardonnay and Viognier vines for this white wine grow in Gurra di Mare sandy vineyards in Menfi at an altitude of 20 m near the sea. The vineyards therefore benefits from the cooling sea breezes. The harvesting is done manually followed by careful sorting and destemming of the grapes. Fermentation is done in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Maturation takes place in the same tanks on the fine lees with regular batonnage for 9 months followed by bottle maturation for 2 months.
