Chardonnay Sicilia D.O.C - Feudo Principi di Butera
The Feudo Principi di Butera winery lies in the heart of Sicily, in the province of Caltanissetta, which is recognised as one of the best wine making regions in Italy thanks above all to its production of high quality wines. The vineyeards are situated on hills at an altitude of 250-350m above sea level; at a distance of only 10km from the sea. The soil is limestone and shell rich meaning the earth is white, an element which gives the grapevines the appropriate growth balance. The wine is fermented in wood barrels followed by a maturation on its own lees for a some months prior to bottle ageing.
Colour: Straw-yellow with pale golden highlights.
Bouquet: Broad, with hints of pineapple, mango and ripe fruit, underpinned by sweetish vanilla tones.
Flavour: Dry yet well-balanced, with an elegant touch of toasted almonds offsetting the fruity notes. Good zesty acidity and velvety fruit.
Longevity 3-5 years
