Cutizzi Greco di Tufo D.O.C.G. - Feudi di San Gregorio
The Greco vines for the Cutizzi wine are organically grown in the Feudi di San Gregorio vineyards in Sorbo Serpico in Irpinia near Avellino in the center of Campania, some 40 km. east of Napoli. The Irpinia region is very varied, with a succession of mountains, hills and plains with rivers and streams in between.
This is a unique vine growing and wine producing territory, where vineyards for centuries have coexisted with fruit trees, woodland, olive trees and herbs.
This old and leading winery is very focused on the preservation of authentic top quality productions and on the definition of a premium quality standard to meet the highest and most severe market requirements.
The grapes were manually harvested, sorted, and destemmed. After pressing the juice was fermented in stainless-steel tanks, followed by some 4 - 5 months maturation in the steel tanks, in contact with the lees at all time due to repeated batonnage to circulate the suspension of the fine dregs.
Longevity 5-7 years.
